ASV Ranked Number 7 on Fortune Small Business List of America's 100 Fastest-Growing Small Public Companies
ASV, Inc. announced today that it has been ranked seventh on FORTUNE Small Business' list of 100 fastest-growing small public companies in America. The list appears in the July/August issue of FORTUNE Small Business, available on newsstands July 4 and at www.fsb.com.
ASV designs, manufactures and sells rubber-tracked loaders and related accessories, attachments and traction products. Thanks to their patented undercarriage technology, ASV machinery is able to traverse nearly any terrain with minimal damage to the ground, making them effective in industries such as construction, landscaping and agriculture.
ASV had revenues of $160.9 million in 2004, with a three-year annual revenue growth rate of 54 percent. The company reported $17.2 million in net earnings in 2004, with a three-year annual growth rate in earnings per share of 222 percent.
"We are pleased to receive this distinction from Fortune Small Business," said Gary Lemke, ASV chairman and CEO. "It has been an exciting ride since we founded the company back in 1983, and this recognition of the efforts of all our employees and dealers is satisfying."
To compile the list, FORTUNE Small Business asked financial research firm Zacks to screen annual reports for public companies with annual revenue of less than $200 million and a stock price of more than $1. Within that group, companies were ranked based on the past three years' earnings growth, revenue growth, and stock performance. Real estate firms and banks, which had begun to override the list in recent years, were not considered for the list this year.

New Caterpillar Parts Distribution Center to be Established in Russia
Moscow Area Facility to Serve Caterpillar Dealers Within the Russian Federation
Building on the strength of an already best-in-class global parts distribution network, Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc., has announced plans to open a new parts distribution center near Moscow, Russia next year. The new facility will serve the five Caterpillar dealers located within the Russian Federation.
Plans call for the Caterpillar dealers located in Russia to receive parts distributed through the new Moscow area distribution facility beginning in mid to late 2006. Dealers in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region currently receive parts through Cat Logistics' Grimbergen, Belgium distribution center.
Cat Inc. Vice President and President and Chairman of Cat Logistics, Mary Bell said, "This new distribution center based in the heart of the Russian Federation will serve to strengthen our world-class capabilities for distributing Caterpillar parts throughout the world."
Caterpillar has worked closely with dealers to gather the voice of the customer and to jointly develop the optimum parts distribution solution within the CIS. This new facility will further improve customer service by enabling dealers in Russia to receive next day emergency order service and significantly reduce stock order delivery time.
"The investment in this new facility demonstrates our support of the dealers' mission to serve Caterpillar customers in Russia and our continued commitment to excellence in product support," Bell said.
Caterpillar Distribution Services currently consists of 22 distribution facilities worldwide dedicated to providing logistics services for Cat-branded parts and other products sold to Caterpillar dealers. These services include distribution operations, warehousing and inventory management, information management, and transportation services.
