CONEXPO 2005 - Manitowoc
Manitowoc Crane Group is exhibiting products from its entire crane line at this year’s CONEXPO 2005.
The company will have a total of 14 cranes, 12 of them new, on its 3530 m2 (38,000 ft2) booth in the outdoor Gold Lot, Stand #440, including three brand new machines and a number of units making their first appearance in the US. In addition to the lifting equipment on display, Manitowoc will have areas dedicated to Manitowoc Crane CARE, its industry-leading after-sales division, and CraneCREDIT, its financing arm. There will also be a training simulator on the stand, on which visitors to the booth are encouraged to test their lifting skills.
This year’s event marks the first combined trade show of all four Manitowoc Crane Group product brands in North America. The company comprises crawler cranes from Manitowoc, mobile hydraulic cranes from Grove, tower cranes from Potain, and boom trucks from National.
The units on display at this year’s CONEXPO are:
• Grove GMK5130-1 (known as the GMK5165 in the US) all-terrain crane (NEW!)
• Grove RT875E rough-terrain crane (NEW!)

• Grove TMS800E truck crane (NEW!)
• Grove YB5515 industrial crane (NEW!)
• Grove YB7720XL industrial crane (NEW!)

• Potain HDT 80 self-erecting tower crane
• Potain Igo 50 self-erecting tower crane (NEW!)
• Potain Igo MA 21 self-erecting crane (NEW!)

Glen Tellock, president and general manager of Manitowoc Crane Group, is expecting a positive response to the company at the event.
“It was at this show three years ago that we announced our acquisition of Grove, so obviously we have very fond memories of the last CONEXPO. This year, visitors from North America and around the world will have the opportunity to see how we’ve consolidated our position since that time,” he said. “As a company, we offer the most comprehensive lifting solutions available in the market today, so I would like to encourage attendees to come to our booth and learn about the increased the offerings of products and services we have. Our increased resources allow us to be much more than simply a crane supplier – they allow us to be a true lifting partner to our customers.”
